The Solomon Islands is ranked 157 on the Human Development Index (HDI).  The Macro Assessment project looked at the most impoverished provinces based on a World Vision-specific understanding of well-being.

We made a poverty ranking tool in order to do the analysis.  The tool was based on World Vision Solomon Islands’ sectoral-specific focuses.  We primarily used secondary data to develop the province-specific poverty index.  Primary data was collected through staff interviews. They identified emergent areas that would need support in the future.

The research is a source document.  It is used to identify the most strategic location for World Vision programming. It provides sectoral-specific background.
